Transgrid is committed to supporting all parents in the workplace, to promote greater equality and flexibility for all employees and enhance wellbeing and work/life balance. Our parental leave policy plays an important role in creating a supportive work culture, with 20 weeks of paid parental leave for parents of all genders taking on primary caregiving responsibilities within 12 months of the birth or adoption of their child. Our parental leave policy extends this leave to employees dealing with the tragic circumstance of stillbirth, recognising that paid parental leave offers practical assistance to parents during this difficult time. Our parental leave package is underpinned by our mental health and wellbeing framework, including access to our employee assistance program and our Next Steps coaching program, powered by Grace Papers, to provide ongoing support to parents navigating this tragedy and their return to work.
