The Stillbirth Foundation Australia supports organisations and institutions undertaking research into the cause, prevention and management of stillbirth. In 2019, Stillbirth Foundation Australia will continue this support and will consider applications that address any aspect of stillbirth however, priority will be given to rigorously designed clinical studies that address unexplained stillbirth, are designed to provide a greater understanding to prevent stillbirth of a known cause or contributing factors or to enable best practice among staff caring for families who experience stillbirth.

Applications will be considered for project support or people support. Applications that seek part funding where support can be obtained from other sources will be viewed favourably. All levels of funding (i.e. financial request) will be considered and all applications will be reviewed by an independent Scientific Assessment Committee that consists of researchers, consumers and clinical staff.

The Foundation will not fund conference travel or building funds. Grant applications will be accepted from Australian bodies only. Applications are assessed once a year.
