Lullabies & Loss virtual quilt

Every year, 106,000 Australian babies lose their lives to stillbirth, miscarriage, or newborn death, which leaves a trail of immeasurable grief, pain, and isolation.

To illustrate to the wider community the size of this issue and the impact on the lives of those left behind, we are partnering with Sands, Red Nose, Still Aware, Bears of Hope and Pink Elephants to stitch together messages of remembrance, love and hope into a virtual quilt – we’re calling it ‘Lullabies and Loss’.

On October 15th 2020, International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, the digital quilt will launch via video, set to an original score, as a tribute to all our babies no longer with us.

We invite you to submit your personal message at www.lullabiesandloss.org.au. Submissions close 30 September.
