What is Workplace Giving?

Workplace Giving enables employees to make a pre-tax donation to Stillbirth Foundation Australia direct from their pay. This means you will see tax benefits immediately, rather than waiting for tax time, as your taxable income is reduced. Beyond the saving to your pocket, you also provide ongoing support in funding stillbirth research which is a win-win.

What are the benefits?

For Employees:

  • You can give as much or as little as you’d like, just a few dollars from each pay can make a huge difference.
  • It takes less time to do your tax at the end of the financial year – it’s an automatic deduction and you don’t need to keep receipts.
  • You can change your donation amount or opt out at any time.

For Employers:

  • Greater staff engagement, retention, productivity, reputation and social impact.
  • Supporting charities close to employees’ hearts by matching donations is a great way to foster community.

Stillbirth Foundation receives vital financial support from your giving to continue our mission to reduce the incidence of stillbirth through research funding, advocacy and raising awareness.

How do I get started?

It’s easy and anyone can do workplace giving!

We are listed with two online giving providers that your company may be registered with. These include Good2Give and Give Now.

If your company is listed on one of these platforms, choose Stillbirth Foundation as your chosen charity organisation, choose the amount and the platform will do the rest.

Don’t forget to ask your employer if they will dollar-match your donations to increase your combined impact on stillbirth research.

What if my company is not with a specific provider?

Not a problem, you can still become a workplace giver.  Just let your HR or finance department know that you’d like to donate some of your pre-tax salary to Stillbirth Foundation.

If your employer doesn’t have a Workplace Giving program, they can easily set one up.

Your payroll department can find out about the Workplace Giving payroll process by visiting the ATO website or contacting a workplace giving program provider such as Good2Give to register.

We are so grateful for your support, thank you!
